This is the location to help smooth over the rough edges that getting into Battletech has. Created by a Newbie for other Battletech Newbies, the goal is to get you from the Beginner Box to fielding a lance at my local game store. This is the culmination of time spent researching and learning via various YouTube channels, Discord, word of mouth and digging deep into the dark areas of Google
GETTING STARTED
This is my journey from buying my first Battletech box to now. I have tried to distill the learnings I have had to make a step by step guide and clearly outline the Battletech gaming journey.
RESOURCES
Many of the resource lists I have found are old. Some pointed to websites that hadn’t been updated since the early 2000’s. On my journey I collected everything that helped me out and put it all into one place.
UNIT FINDER
The biggest thing I found lacking in the Battletech community was the ability to filter units by equipment or what they can do. If you wanted a light mech with 2 pulse lasers under 800BV it was either read through the TROs or ask someone in the community for the answer. This fixes that.

Quirks for Unit Finder
The Quirk sheet doesn’t map directly into the unit info sheet. Not sure if this a manual process to fix or if there is an automatic way to do so.

Right now the data I have doesn’t directly correlate with the units in Flechs Sheet. The need is to figure out and map that relationship for each unit so that links can be automatically generated.
